How to get the best battery life out of your smartphones.

Has your cell phone ever died when you needed it the most?!

Well then we're basically gonna teach you about

Battery Calibration and Power Cycling:

Both of these are sure fire ways of improving the battery life of your smartphones!

So in order to Calibrate your smartphone's battery, you need to under go a process called "power cycling"

Carefully follow these Steps:

  1. Jump on facebook, foursquare, eat up all that data and battery life on youtube, text all your friends, go crazy, but make sure you RUN DOWN THE BATTERY, to a point where the device shuts off by itself.
  2. Next step; pop the battery out and give it about 15-20 seconds, before you insert it back in and repeat step 1, if it takes less than a minute for the battery to run out again, and for the device to shut down, then you're on the right track, move onto the next step!
  3. And Finally, we move on to *Power Cycling - this is when you pop the battery out, once again, and hold the power button for 1 minute.
  4. Next you insert the battery, but DO NOT switch on the smartphone just yet! Hook it up to a charger and wait until it is fully charged.
So ideally, you're gonna want to do this once in the first 3-4 months of owning your new smartphones. After a year it drops down to once a month in order to gain maximum battery performance.

*POWER CYCLING - is basically when you press down the power button in order to drain whaever backup battery you have left. (Handy hint: this back up battery is used by your smartphone to remember date, time etc.)

**REMEMBER YOU WILL NOT SEE A DRAMATIC IMPROVEMENT IN YOUR SMARTPHONES BATTERY LIFE. BUT IT WILL, MOST CERTAINLY SAVE YOUR NEW ONE FROM DYING WELL BEFORE THE PHONE BECOMES DATED!

Now if you're finding that a little hard to follow, our friends at www.wirelessground.com have put together a simple video guide for you to follow.
